Loose Photos

What you receive:
Scanned at 600 DPI, perfect for reprinting, sharing, or archiving.
Digitally cropped and rotated for correct alignment and orientation.
Notes:
Photos need to be loose and free from blu-tack, sellotape, lamination, glue, or other attachments. Such photos can be scanned at $1.49 each.
Photos smaller than 5×5cm, or requiring extra care or preparation like old newspaper clippings or pages from books can be scanned at $1.49 each.
If you’d like even more detail, 1200 DPI scans are available for an extra $0.10 per photo.
Mounted Slides and Negatives

Photo Albums - Loose Leaf

Clearfile type albums where you slide the photos in-and-out of a plastic pocket.

We must be able to safely and easily remove and put photo back - we don’t want to risk damaging your photos!
Best efforts will be made to ensure they’re put back in their original place.
For the best value, we recommend taking advantage of the Loose Photos rates.
Photo Albums - Sticky-backed

Self adhesive type albums where the photos are stuck place, or scrapbook type albums where you glue or tape the photos in.
What you receive:
Scanned at 600 DPI, perfect for reprinting, sharing, or archiving.
Digitally cropped and rotated for correct alignment and orientation.
Photos will not be removed for scanning; they will be scanned in-place.
Polaroids and Laminated

Loose Polaroids, Instax, or laminated photographs.
What you get:
Scanned at 600 DPI. Great quality for re-printing, sharing, and archiving.
Digitally cropped and rotated for correct alignment and orientation.
CDs and DVDs
$15 per disc
Convert CDs and DVDs into digital files, making your media easier to access, share, and enjoy again.
We are unable to convert copyrighted material.
Digital Enhancements
If you’d like your photos looking their best, let us know which ones you’d like digitally enhanced and we’ll provide a quote based on the work required.
We manually apply a range of digital enhancements, including colour correction, removal of tears, creases, and dust marks, red-eye removal, cropping and composition adjustments, and other touch-ups as needed.
Our goal is to keep enhancements natural and true-to-life - you can view examples on our Enhancements page.
Enhancement pricing starts from $4.99 per photo, depending on the level of work required, in addition to scanning.
Receiving your photos
Service Fee – $9.99
This fee covers secure digital delivery and 6 months storage of all scanned files.
Optional USB – $29.99
We can also provide your photos on a USB stick (SanDisk 32GB Dual Drive with USB-C and USB-A), perfect for backup or easy sharing.

How it works
1. Get in touch
Call or send us a message and tell us about your project. We’ll answer any questions and help you decide the best way to get started.
2. Drop off your photos
Arrange a time to drop off your photos at our Docklands location, or send them via courier or post - whatever’s easiest for you.
3. We digitise & enhance
We carefully scan your photos and apply gentle digital enhancements (if requested), treating every image with the same care we would our own family memories.
4. Receive your memories
Once complete, you’ll receive an emailed download link for instant access and (optionally) a USB for long-term storage.

We complete most orders in 1-2 days.
If your order is particularly large, we may need an extra day or so. We’ll let you know before we start the job.

Yes!
We operate out of our home in Docklands, Melbourne, and we’re happy to arrange a drop-off and pick-up time if you live locally.

We do our best to return photos in the same groups, and the same order as provided.
If we’re couriering your photos, we’ll take care to protect photos with sturdy boxes and soft packaging.

The quality of your digital scans depends heavily on the condition of the original photos, slides, or negatives provided. Dust, scratches, fading, fingerprints, creases, stains, colour degradation, adhesive residue, and other physical wear or damage may appear in the final scan.
We take reasonable care when handling and scanning your originals and may perform light cleaning where appropriate, however we do not guarantee restoration or repair of damaged originals unless enhancement services are specifically purchased.

We hold a copy of your photos for six months after completing work, just in case you need a replacement copy.
If you’d like us to delete our copy of your files once you’ve received them, no problem - just let us know.

Once we've completed the work, we’ll return your photos, with a USB stick, and email an invoice with the final number of photos scanned, and work completed.
We invoice through Xero, and payments can be made safely through Stripe, or bank transfer.
Payment is expected to be completed within 7 days of receiving your invoice, unless otherwise agreed.
