Photo Scanning

  • We keep things simple. Loose photos are scanned at a flat rate of $0.39 each.

    What you get:

    • Scanned at 600 DPI, perfect for reprinting, sharing, or archiving.

    • Digitally cropped and straightened for correct alignment and orientation.

    A quick note:

    • Photos need to be loose and free from blu-tack, sellotape, lamination, glue, or other attachments. Such photos can be scanned at $1.49 each.

    • Any photos smaller than 5×5cm, requiring extra care or preparation like old newspaper clippings or pages from books can be scanned for $1.49 each.

    • If you’d like even more detail, 1200 DPI scans are available for an extra $0.10 per photo.

  • Mounted slides and negatives are scanned at a flat rate of $0.89 each.

    What we can scan:

    • 35mm Mounted colour positive slides

    • 35mm Colour or B&W negatives - must be cut in strips 22cm or less

    What you get:

    • Scanned at 2400 DPI. Great quality for re-printing, sharing, and archiving.

    • Digitally cropped to correct alignment.

    • Digitally rotated to correct orientation.

  • Clearfile type albums were you slide the photos in and out of a plastic pocket.

    • Photos must be safe and easily removed and put back - we don’t want to risk damaging your photos!

    • Best efforts will be made to ensure they’re put back in their correct place.

  • Self adhesive type albums were the photos are stuck place or scrap book type albums where you glue or tape the photos in.

    • Best efforts will be taken to remove photos safely without damage.

    • Photos that cannot be removed safely may be scanned in place.

    • Photos that cannot be returned in place will be packaged and returned separately.

    • Please note these photos have a higher risk of damage.

  • Loose Polaroids, Instax, or laminated photographs.

    What you get:

    • Scanned at 600 DPI. Great quality for re-printing, sharing, and archiving.

    • Digitally cropped to correct alignment.

    • Digitally rotated to correct orientation.

Digital Enhancement

  • If you’d like your photos looking their best, let us know which ones you’d like enhanced and we’ll provide a quote based on the work required.

    We manually apply a range of digital enhancements, including:

    • Colour correction

    • Removal of tears, creases, and dust marks

    • Red-eye removal

    • Cropping and composition adjustments

    • Other touch-ups as needed

    Our goal is to keep enhancements natural and true-to-life — you can view examples on our Enhancement Samples page.

    Enhancement pricing starts from $4.99 per photo, depending on the level of work required, and is in addition to scanning.

Receiving your photos

You’ll receive your digitised photos in two formats:

  • Download link – instant access as soon as your photos are ready. The download link stays active for 6 months.

  • USB stick – we currently provide a SanDisk Ultra Luxe 32GB Dual Drive (USB-C and USB-A).

Both included for $24.
